Will IFK Paris catch the cup and the bottle again?

The regular season is now over in France, both in Division 1 (highest leagua) and Division 2. It’s now time for the qualified teams to prepare for the play-offs that will take place in Paris, on May 14th & 15th.

12 teams from around the country will be gathered in the capital city for an exciting floorball meeting.
The competition for the National title will involve 4 traditional competitors at this stage. Double-reigning and experienced champions IFK Paris will play the Lyon Pirates, in the first semi-final.

In the other semi, the Paris Université Club will meet again with the Marseille Rascasses. These two matches will be played on Saturday and the Final will end the season, at 15.00 on Sunday.

In Division 1, two “play-down” fights will involve four teams trying to keep their position for the next season. Unfortunate losers will be relegated to Division 2, and leave their place to two new contestants.

During the regular season in Division 2, teams were split in two regional groups (North-West & South-East). The winners of each group will play the second team of the other group to try and earn a ticket to the first level of the French championship. North-West leaders, the “Hoplites” from Amiens, will challenge the Dragons of Besançon, while Caen Floorball Club from Normandie will face the Chats Biterrois, coming all the way from the southern city of Béziers.
